Lovely sculpture of an Owl With Owlets in their nest from Castagna Collection, Italy. @1989 Castagna is engraved at the bottom of the owl sculpture. Original 1988 Castagna label also at the bottom of the sculpture. Castagna takes its name from the sculptor. The sculptures of Castagna Collection are made of resin with a special technique. Each item is hand painted and finished, and this makes it unique and original. The alabaster (mineral or rock that is soft, often used for carving, and is processed for plaster powder) transformed into a fine powder and reconstituted through the use of a resin-based adhesive that makes it possible to create the wonderful sculptures designed and created by Castagna.
